Eco Factor: Zero-emission electric car based on 2000 Lola Indy car.
A team of students at DeLaSalle School in Kansas City along with engineers from Bridgestone America’s Technical Center in Akron have developed an all-electric vehicle, which has just completed testing on Bridgestone’s Texas Proving Grounds.
The vehicle, which is based on the chassis of the 2000 Lola Indy Car, is said to achieve the efficiency equivalent of 300mpg. The ultra-lightweight car’s electric propulsion system was developed by the DeLaSalle School student team, which is now petitioning the Guinness World Records to consider their EV as a new world record.
